How does this cabinet mount?
The overhead Cabinet hangs in place as any of our other cabinets with 2" Fasteners + Washers into factory holes with Rivet Nuts. Once the cabinet mounted, the microwave slides in and falls into a mounting plate. An anchored hook and loop strap passing through the partition is used to cinch the unit down in place.
Will these cabinets perfectly fit my vehicle?
All overhead cabinets have a curved backing and curved top to fit the factory curvature of the vehicle. While this will fit most wall paneling/ceiling setups, minor modifications may be required to install these cabinets with builds utilizing furring strips. It is strongly recommended that this cabinet is mounted using rivet nuts as specified by our .
Can this fit my Adventure Wagon?
Yes! All of our cabinetry can be made Adventure Wagon Compatible if stated in your order notes.
How do I apply paint?
First you will lightly scuff the entire cabinet surface that you plan on coating with 120-180 grit sandpaper. Then you will apply 2-3 coats of primer before applying your main coat. Always apply a finish when you're happy with the paint to get a long-lasting appearance.
How do I apply stain or sealer?
First you will sand the surface on all faces with sandpaper traveling with the grain of the wood. Then you will apply stain very cautiously to a section of the cabinet that will not be visible to gauge the volume and pressure you need to achieve the look you want. Next you will apply the stain evenly with a rag, sponge, or spray gun until all surfaces are coated. Please note that overlapping surfaces may make the stain darker on the overlapped areas. Always apply a finish when you're happy with the stain to get a long-lasting appearance.
Is the wood color consistent across orders?
A lumber pattern is not guaranteed. This comes from raw lumber and varies in tint, shade, and grain. Minor defects in the veneer also occur occasionally, and we make a great effort not to use any lumber with serious flaws. The ends are made from natural wood, not veneer. For this reason, you may see small gaps (~0.075") at the ends and centers of your cabinet sections. These may be filled with putty, painted over, or ignored.
